Final ruling will take time

Not one day but at least a week is what the process of internal hearings of the US Supreme Court usually takes to address appeals. Moral of the story: expectations should be lowered as the maximum tribunal finally decides on Argentina’s case against vulture funds.
Yet, tomorrow has been set to be a key day since the court might resume activities and start addressing the cases in its first meeting after the summer recess.
Possible scenarios are: the Supreme Court does not take the case because it is not among those being addressed every day or the Supreme Court requests the opinion of the US government before ruling on the 1.3 billion dollar dispute.
There is another possible outcome. Another appeal by Argentina remains in process. If it is rejected, it will be the US tribunal to rule on this case as well, leading to the unification of both petitions. It could be then expected for the SC to analyze Argentina’s case.
To sum it up: let’s not hurry. It is important to remain alert but wait both till tomorrow and October 7 when the court will be officially announcing which cases it will be hearing.
