The economy grew by almost 5% during the first semester

Secretary of Finance Adrián Cosentino announced that the Argentine economy grew by almost 5 percent during the first six months of this year.
He also underlined that the economy received “a favorable dynamic” from sectors with a high multiplying effect, such as the automobile industry.

Cosentino also pointed out that the new realm of regulations for the capitals market will allow to expand and diversify the offer of financing to productive sectors, especially of small and medium companies (PyMes).

“The favorable figures we are receiving make us to expect a good level of growth this year, along with sustainability and social inclusion,” the Secretary said, during a seminar on Life Insurance and Retirements at a downtown hotel.

“Beyond having surpassed in the last ten years records in terms of GDP (Gross Domestic Product), the Argentine economy is showing a very important qualitative pattern to provide sustainability to growth”, Cosentino stated.
